Orange County Traffic School Court Codes and Locations

Unlike larger counties with dozens of traffic court locations, Orange County consolidates traffic cases across five justice centers. Your case is assigned to a specific court based on where your ticket was issued. Your DMV court code is a 5-digit number starting with “30” printed on your citation.

The table below lists each traffic court with its DMV code, address, and the cities it serves, verified against the California DMV Court Code Handbook. Bell Gardens Traffic School is accepted by all of these courthouses.

Court Code Courthouse Address Cities Served
30470 Central Justice Center 700 Civic Center Drive West, Santa Ana, CA 92701 Santa Ana, Orange, Tustin, Villa Park
30420 North Justice Center 1275 North Berkeley Avenue, Fullerton, CA 92832 Fullerton, Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, La Habra, La Palma, Placentia, Yorba Linda
30460 Harbor Justice Center 4601 Jamboree Road, Newport Beach, CA 92660 Newport Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, Dana Point, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Rancho Santa Margarita, Aliso Viejo, Coto de Caza
30450 Lamoreaux Justice Center 341 The City Drive South, Orange, CA 92868 Orange and surrounding areas (also handles juvenile and family law)
West Justice Center 8141 13th Street, Westminster, CA 92683 Westminster, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Cypress, Seal Beach, Los Alamitos, Stanton

Note about legacy court codes: Older citations may display codes like 30100, 30410, 30451, or 30452. These are cross-reference codes that map to the current codes listed above: 30100 maps to 30470 (Central), 30410 maps to 30420 (North), 30451 maps to 30450 (Lamoreaux), and 30452 maps to 30460 (Harbor). Bell Gardens Traffic School accepts all current and legacy Orange County court codes.

All courts open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each courthouse has a drop box with 24/7 access for payments and documents. Items placed in drop boxes before 4:00 PM on an open court day are processed the same day.

Orange County Traffic School FAQ

What are the DMV court codes for Orange County traffic school?

Orange County has four primary DMV court codes for traffic cases: 30470 (Central Justice Center, Santa Ana), 30420 (North Justice Center, Fullerton), 30460 (Harbor Justice Center, Newport Beach), and 30450 (Lamoreaux Justice Center, Orange). The West Justice Center in Westminster also handles traffic cases. Your court code is a 5-digit number starting with “30” printed on your traffic citation. Older codes like 30100, 30410, 30451, and 30452 are legacy codes that redirect to the current ones listed above.

What is my OC Pay number and where do I find it?

Your OC Pay # is a unique identifier assigned to your traffic case by the Orange County Superior Court. It is printed on the Violation Information Notice mailed to you after your citation. You need this number to pay your fine online through My Court Portal, request an extension by phone, or check your case status. If you have not received your Violation Information Notice, call the Automated Information and Payment Center at (657) 622-8459 for assistance.

How much does Orange County traffic school cost?

Our online course costs $44.95 — total price with no hidden fees and no upsells. That includes the full DMV-approved course, final quiz with unlimited retakes, completion certificate, electronic DMV filing, and electronic court filing. Separately, the Orange County Superior Court charges a $54 administrative fee for traffic school, which you pay directly to the court along with your traffic fine.

The $54 consists of a $49 administrative fee, a $2 Traffic School TAP fee, and a $3 DMV monitoring fee. Our course fee and the court’s fee are two different payments to two different entities.

How do I request a traffic school extension in Orange County?

Orange County allows one 45-day extension and one additional 30-day extension before any Failure to Appear action is taken. You can request an extension online through My Court Portal using your OC Pay # and citation number, by phone at (657) 622-8459, or in person at any of the five justice centers.

The extension applies to both the deadline to pay your fine and the deadline to complete traffic school. Request your extension before your current due date to avoid a warrant, DMV hold, or civil assessment being added to your case.

Is this Orange County traffic school accepted by all courts?

Yes. Bell Gardens Traffic School holds California DMV License #E9562 (TVS #1083) and is accepted by every Orange County Superior Court location — Central Justice Center in Santa Ana, North Justice Center in Fullerton, Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach, Lamoreaux Justice Center in Orange, and West Justice Center in Westminster. We have been DMV-licensed since 1994. When you complete our course, we electronically file your certificate with both the DMV and your specific Orange County courthouse.

Will Orange County traffic school keep my ticket off my insurance?

Yes. Completing a DMV-approved Orange County traffic school course for an eligible one-point moving violation masks the ticket from your public driving record. The point is not reported to or counted by your insurance company, which means your rates will not increase because of this ticket. Without traffic school, a single point on your record can raise your insurance premiums by an average of 20% for up to three years. California law allows you to attend traffic school once every 18 months.

Which Orange County court handles my traffic ticket?

Your case is assigned to a specific justice center based on where your ticket was issued. Tickets from Santa Ana, Orange, Tustin, and Villa Park go to the Central Justice Center (30470). Tickets from Fullerton, Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, and north county cities go to the North Justice Center (30420). Tickets from Newport Beach, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Mission Viejo, and south county cities go to the Harbor Justice Center (30460).

Tickets from Westminster, Huntington Beach, Costa Mesa, Garden Grove, and west county cities go to the West Justice Center. Check your citation for the specific courthouse name and court code.
